About Us
Building relationships, not just computers
Computer Doc has been an Indian Trail business since 1997. Some of our clients have been with us for over 20 years. That doesn't happen by accident.
Our story
Kevin Acoveno started Computer Doc in 1997 fixing computers for neighbors in Indian Trail. The shop on Old Monroe Road is still here, and walk-in repair is still part of what we do. But over nearly three decades the business grew into something bigger: a managed IT services provider that acts as the IT department for small and mid-sized businesses across Union County and the Charlotte metro area.
In 2026 we opened a second office in Panama City, Florida, and launched our sister company Maintane.AI to help clients adopt AI safely.
How we work
- Local first. Our Indian Trail office handles the high-level work and on-site visits. You know the people supporting you by name.
- Backed by scale. Our 24/7 help desk has over 150 U.S.-based support engineers, and each client gets a dedicated pod that learns their systems. You get small-company attention with big-company coverage.
- No surprises. One flat monthly fee. We've never sent a managed client a labor bill, and we never will.
- Honest advice. If the right answer is "don't buy that," we'll say so. Our testimonials are full of money we saved people.

Kevin Acoveno, Founder
Kevin holds Microsoft's MCSE certification and has run Computer Doc since 1997. When he's not working on a client network he's usually flying; he's a private pilot, which explains the Panama City office.
Our team
Project managers, system and network analysts, desktop support technicians and our in-shop hardware tech, plus a 24/7 help desk of 150+ engineers. Collectively, decades of experience and the certifications to back it up.
